India declares the lockdown.

Triage points in the Bathalapalli Hospital makes sure that the hospital remains accessible to most needy without compromising on the COVID Response. Awareness trainings for the doctors and hospital staff conducted.

The RDT Hospital in Bathalapalli becomes one of the first centres in Anantapur to be designated as a COVID 19 Hospital by the District Collector. The Mycobacteriology Laboratory starts functioning as a COVID 19 testing centre.

Temporary Obstetrics and Gynaecology Centre set up in RDTs Professional School of Foreign Languages as the RDT Bathalapalli hospital is set up as the exclusive COVID -19 Centre. The staff puts together resources to set up the labour room and wards in 2 days. Over 200 babies delivered in the facility.
Our Response in Kalyandurg

RDT Kalyandurg Hospital remains one of the few private hospitals that had been open throughout the lockdown and commits to treat patients with non – COVID related illnesses, especially check -ups and deliveries of pregnant women. Earlier the hospital used to conduct an average of 700 deliveries per month, and in the few months during the pandemic – it shoots upto 1000.

RDT Kalyandurg Hospital works tirelessly and attends to a total of 950+ deliveries in May in the midst of the Second Wave. The Outpatients care continues for 24 hours a day and more than 450 women come to the hospital for their checkups.
