Started in the year 2006, the Department for Infectious Diseases specialises in treating patients with HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Drug-resistant Tuberculosis and offers specialised care and follow-up for children under 18 months of age born to HIV-positive parents. Patients are offered family screening for TB & HIV, vaccinations and treatment for opportunistic infections.
The department also monitors and creates awareness among patients to help them continue their treatment and follow self-care and safety habits through a dedicated team of counsellors and therapists.
