The department focuses on delivering precise treatments to people with different conditions, including peripartum complications, suicidal poisonings, tropical fevers, envenomations, post-operative mechanical ventilation and more. 

With a level 3, seven-bedded, semi-closed critical care delivery system and well-equipped infrastructure, the department provides comprehensive services to treat patients in need of intensive care.
