About the Department

Started in 2008, the Department of Clinical Microbiology specialises in diagnosing patients suffering from infections such as sepsis, other bacterial infections, tuberculosis, HIV and also offers a diagnosis of opportunistic infections.

The department also monitors and creates awareness among doctors, nurses and patients on hospital-acquired infections under the Hospital Infection Control Committee. The department also takes care of HICC programs.
