Started in 2001, the Department of Anaesthesiology & Pain Medicine is dedicated to providing complete care and comfort to patients before, after and during operative procedures while also extending services to patients undergoing pain management issues. The department is concerned with pharmacologic, physiologic, and clinical bases of Anaesthesia and related fields, including resuscitation, intensive care, consulting with the surgical team, providing pain control and supporting life functions, supervising care after surgery, etc.
The department has also been training primary and secondary DNB Anaesthesiology residents since 2014.
